These kits are made for all Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth and Desoto's with the 2 speed Powerflite automatic transmission used from 1956-1961.
Included in the Major and Master kits are the 12 tooth friction plates which were used from 1956-1961 with transmission serial numbers 1673-234, 1636-237, 1638-530, 1638-561. (If you have a transmission with the 8 tooth friction plates, please order the 1953-1956 kit)
We offer four versions of kits ranging from an External Seal Kit which is just for sealing up the outside of the unit and fixing any leaks, to our most complete Master Kit which includes all gaskets, seals, rings, clutches and steel plates.
External Seal Kit = All gaskets and seals required to re-seal the outside of the transmission.
Overhaul Kit = All gaskets, rubber seals, metal clad seals, and sealing rings.
Major Kit = Overhaul kit plus friction plates.
Master Kit = Major kit plus steel plates
